Obviously, the solution is an ad blocker, but God almighty their pages load sooo slowly if you don't have one (or turn your off for whatever reason). And the first huge one across the top of the page is something no self-respecting forum should EVER allow, it reminds me of all the intentionally-misleading ads on so many pages when you're either signing up for something or looking for operating system infection solutions. Any way you look at it, it's disgusting.
I'm sure more than a few have fallen for that "Activate account" crap, with who knows what implications.

not enough that they line the side with ads, they have to stick one right in the middle that floats along with you
And I'm not sure how they justify the money they must be charging since anytime you go there the number of members logged in is typically below 5, more often than not only one or two, and the guest total is rarely above 30 to 40, usually less than 20.
Isn't it nice to be able to browse VHT without all that BS to fight with? And not have to pay for a "premium membership" to avoid (most) of them?
