Good afternoon all. This time we are attending the USCRA Belknap Classic, hosted by the Canaan Motor Club in Canaan, NH.
The weather is just about perfect for a day out on the track. Really nice turnout and everyone is having fun.
I screwed the pooch this morning and didn’t do a good enough job of getting electrolytes into my system. After the morning practice I was knackered to the point where I had to sit out a couple of sessions until I got it under control.
Once I hydrated with sports drinks and replenished with some proper diet I was able to return to the track where I was promptly beaten into submission by the top guns in the class😄😄😄! These guys are carrying corner speed that I need to work into. I’m making steps but getting there slowly.
Bike is running well, I made the adjustments to let it rev out and also adjusted the front suspension to eliminate some chatter issues. It handles very well, the rider is definitely the limiting factor.

One more thing, file this under “ judging a book by its cover”. This is the class leader’s bike. It looks pretty weathered and has a baby bottle for a catch can 😄 but the guy can absolutely fly on that thing and disappears up the road !

It's fun to hear the tales, win or lose. I will definitely take a guy seriously who drills out their front drum brake hub.

I used to play roller hockey regularly and without electrolytes (Gatorade for me) I was very likely to end up with a migraine — it pays to be on top of that stuff.

Is that tape over the bolts on the oil filter cover for #630?
