My stator is bad, tested today, 11.4 volts no matter how fast the engine revs. Tried the headlight switch bypass and it got worse. Tested with ohm meter and had .3 ohms where manual said should be no less than .5. Tested continuity to ground and all the circuits are grounded with it unplugged. I thought I saw where someone used one from a later 450?
I already have the R/R upgrade from Sparck installed. I looked for the 3 phase from sparck but doesn't look to be available, and the Ricks one doesn't list 71 sl350k1, UGH!
I've always fought running problems with this bike since I was wayyyyy younger, swapped carbs, coils, points, condensors all when I was younger and never solved it. Now that I got it running for my son to learn on it's all been coming back to me, now I'm wondering if the charging has always been weak on this.......
