So, my CB160's PO apparently thought it was a good idea that, after sheering of the shift shaft's gnarled end, attempting to weld a new one on was a good idea and, oh ya, since the lower cover's shift shaft stabilizer was damaged beyond repair... Why not bore out that portion of the cover, weld a cheep, bent threaded rod to the shaft, and thread on several nuts and lock washers into the stabilizer space.
Nope, ya really simply CAN'T make this stuff up. Pandora's box has nuth'n on the internals of a PO'd Honda engine. No siree Bob, surely doesn't.
