Let´s present my old 125cc, 4 speed :)
It´s been a long road since i have it, 2 times engine problem (heated and broke) and 1 fall from the trailer to the ground while driving the car, but i just dont get tired of it.
I believe i´m in the good way now. Did the full motor this summer and it´s smooth as i always wanted.

Since i have it things i´ve done:

-» frame coated
-»all painted (then damaged) - not the original colour (it will be soon done properly)
-»motor joints
-»pistons
-»rectified head
-»complete restoration of the saddle
-» new front guard
-»some polish pieces
-»some painted parts of the engine
-»new oem rear shock absorbers

At this moment i´m restoring the front fork, must take new fork tubes and the base/cup (dont know the correct word) are being polished also, soon will be news.

Tha main piece that makes me sad not being 100% original is the exhaust. At the time the rust ruined the muffler and my grandfather took to a mechanic who cutted off the muffler and sinve then i just couldn´t find a proper piece (at a decent price) to put there.

Nice progress. Is the fuel tank original? We've seen the CB125 like yours, VHT member @AndrewJK has one. Not familiar with the CL tank for that model.

Interesting to see this, nice bike. I was going to comment on the silencer / muffler, until I read your posting more carefully. A couple of things I did notice. Looks like blue RTV was used in the crankcase joint, need to be careful with that stuff. Also the angle of the levers on the front brake plate looks a bit extreme, probably not going to get the best braking effect like that.

The angle is because of the wires running inside of the handlebar, this is, i can move a little bit but the cables will suffer, the way it is, there´s no stress of the wires, they flow nicely...

This is the true colour...
It will be replaced as soon as possible.

Big mistake of the painting house...

:(

That´s what I believe...
Date of the invoice: 15/03/73 :)
I'm not familiar with all the details of the CL125's. I see there are two (or three?) different versions, the earlier twin and the later single. (At least here in the US.) I know Honda sold different models in Europe.
What is the serial number on the frame?

This is what I meant about the front brake, at rest the brake actuating normal point straight down, yours look as though the brake is pulled on.

Maybe just the angle the photo was taken at. My CL175 front brake with new linings

By the way, just found some pictures of 1 sister that i saw for sale in Portugal. 2 days and Just flew to a NEW owner. Glad that i kept these photos.
I believe Richard is trying to explain the angle of both brake arms, it appears your brake shoes (linings) are pretty worn.

There's that, but I did wonder if the brake arms had been taken off then put back in the wrong position. Couldn't make out the position of the index marks on the ends of the splined parts.

I can see the dot on the front shaft, but not on the arm. The picture isn't quite clear enough to be sure, though I agree with the possibility. I wondered about the torque arm attachment myself.

Yes, missing lock tab on the torque arm bolt, missing clevis pin at the brake cable end. Intended as constructive comment, I'm certainly not a 'rivet counter'.

Nice bike and work in progress so far. I believe your bike maybe an earlier model as previously suggested and sold later in 1973 per your invoice date. Many times models were carried over and titled the year they were sold not actually manufactured. Your bike has many parts that seem to indicate the earlier models from around 1970/71 time frame.
Honda didn’t actually start to register the date of manufacturer until the mid 70’s, when they started adding a data plate to the headstock in Canada at least. The date was stamped into the aluminum plate at that point showing when the bike was built in Japan or the USA depending on the model.

Don't forget the clevis pin that retains the brake cable nipple, if that popped out it would really spoil your day.

Part 26 in this image, the other retainer is part 16. Interesting to see that axle is reversed in this diagram.
