hi guys,

As I said in my introduction, my boyfriend and I are working on our first project bike, a Honda Cj250t, a genuine barn find we got cheaply off the internet from a guy.

We started working on the bike yesterday, trying to understand everything (my boyfriend does know a lot more about the insides of a motorcycle than I do, but I’m trying my best) and work ourselves through.

I wanted to share the first update:
We cleaned the carburator (plus the outside of the bike a little) and got the bike starting! (Very proud)
Now we’re trying to understand the whole electrical system, which as been fumbled with (as you can see in the pic).

I’m excited to see our progress!

Hi guys!

We‘re continuing on working on our bike!
We‘re sadly not able to work on the bike everyday since me and my boyfriend only see each other on the weekends, plus I’m working with only one hand at the moment so I’m not that big of a help..

We ordered a few new things for the bike, for example the battery eliminator (see on one picture), we’re hoping it’s working the way we want to.
Right now we’re working on the brakes, we disassembled the bikes rear tire and are cleaning everything (our hands are black and freezing haha).

I tried a battery eliminator with my CB360 many years ago and it was just okay. I recall it being unable to idle with the headlight on, but I haven't tried it since replacing my rotor. It might work better now. It would idle and run okay without the headlight, though.
