Before I got Indy, I’d read lots of reviews re fueling. Quotes from as low as 30 odd mpg up to 50 mpg.
Am I missing something! Had two fill ups and I’m getting at least 60 mpg; probably higher.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not complaining, but what do other Hondamatic riders think?
I’ve mentioned the engine gets very hot and I’ve been told they run lean. I questioned checking my main jets in case they’re smaller than standard.
But, he run beautifully, pulls superbly, no bogging. Just looking for thoughts.

It depends on how you ride as well, just like any vehicle. When I keep the RPM's up and only use second above 50 MPH, I have often had to switch to reserve around 100 miles. If I 'baby' it and run in second at lower speeds, I can get up around 140 before hitting reserve.

Yes, you’re going to be right. Today’s ride after filling up, was more like Maraakate 😉
I have found the ride very pleasant between 40 and 50mph. It is a sit up bike and I haven’t had one before with such wide bars.
Today I rode it at 50 to 60 mph and a couple of zippy overtakes too. Typical me, the honeymoon is over 😊 I always warm up my bikes and then ride them properly.
But, back to fuel. Today’s fill up at about 90 miles gave me an estimate of about 75mpg!.. But of course, one fill up is not an accurate measurement. The previous fill up gave me a guestimate of about 60mpg. I’m not going to do much more analysing, suffice to say, the consumption is much better than I’d been expecting. Meaning I can ride him more. And what’s the harm in that 👍
My future rides will be generally at 40 to 50 for comfort, but it’s nice to know he’s got great pulling power when I need to overtake. Drivers do irritate me, so this might happen often 😗

I've never been able to get 'good' mpg, but, I've also had a lot of trouble sticking to 'posted' speed limits. It is slightly easier now I'm a bit older but not by much (80mph instead of 90  )
Yeah, I like to rev bikes out too often to get good mileage regularly, worth the extra cost.
