I'm having a hard time find a front brake cable. Seems like its not made anymore. Does anyone have suggestions on what other cables might work for this or if anyone is stashing any?
Also, I'm looking for a front dual purpose tire 70road/30dirt that is economical. Most of what I've seen costs more than what I got the bike for..... any suggestions?
Thanks and much appreciated.

Looks like a search pattern for finding one. Run part numbers 45450-KB0-000 and 45450-447-670 which are the 450E and 400E respectively.
If you're going to change the bars to lower straighter version then run part number 45450-413-670 which is the CB400T1
Decent tires aren't cheap and if you find cheap ones then they're not worth the money. Your life depends on the tires.

Thanks for those leads. I've no luck finding one for the CM400 either. I am planning to change the bars to somewhat flatter ones but not sure if they will be low enough. I guess only one way to find out.
Hear you on the tires, found some, but they were significantly more money than the bridgestone trail wing rear tire I found. For a skinner front tire, I thought less rubber means less money...maybe not

The CB400T series uses lower bars like these, that why I used the 413 number. There's a thread called *Sigh* currently with a discussion on making cables which may be the way to go. For searching a specific part it's a daily chore until you find one, it's taken over 6 months for me at times.

Thanks for the pic. My lower bars are similar to this. Haven't tried fitting it yet. maybe this weekend

I have been running a Motion Pro XR200R Front Brake Cable part no. 02-0038 since I put my CM450E back on the road over 5,000 miles ago. No problems on stock, then later on lowered handlebars.
That's good to know. I had been wondering about that. On CMSNL and other websites, it lists the CM450E part as 45450-KB0-000 and the XR200R had a 45450-KK0-000 part so only the 3 middle was different because it was a different model. Thanks for this!

I found an XR200 cable , in Canada no less, for $40. This forum is the best. Thank you sooooo much for the brake cable advice. I'll come back and let you all know what happens on June 4 to 8 when it arrives.

Thanks - I marked your Parts Wanted thread as [FOUND] to help others in the future who face the same situation.
