Hey All ...

I have been reassembling my front drum brake and noticed today that I think I am missing a part ... I'm not sure why I am missing this part (or why I would have powder coated that bolt in that hole!!) .... does anyone recognize this? Not sure what I can do about it right now??? Thoughts? Thanks Bill

That is part of a "universal style" cable repair end. The bare end of the cable was looped around that stud and there was a nut and an odd-shaped washer that clamped it there.

Thanks Mike ... I was thinking I might even be able to just bend a piece of metal to fit ... I'll look up that cable repair end and see if I can find something similar ...

First time I've seen that cable repair thing.
Maybe OK on bicycles but I don't think I would trust it on a motorcycle.
Drilling a hole and bending a piece of stainless wouldn't be difficult, even so,$ 0.95 is probably cheaper than you could make one if your time is worth anything

I just ordered a couple of them ... let's see what shows up ... I'll let you know if it works out ... for $0.95 it's worth a try ... Thanks
