Hey all, so i accidentally dropped my bike in my garage after bumping into it, and it broke the right hand switch box. Snapped the metal bracket for the brake clean off. Looking for a replacement and most NOS right side switch boxes are like 200-300 dollars, where as a CB350 switch box, which includes a Killswitch, is only like 40-80, depending on used or brand new. Would I be able to use the CB350 box with some modifications to the CL175 wiring? I really like the idea of having a Killswitch, and don't wanna pay 200-300 for a obsolete switch. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

You would possibly have to rewire your starter button connections because the CB200 has the headlight on all the time and the starter button interrupts the headlight during cranking, something the 350 switch does not do (as well as the starter button works on a positive connection on the 200 instead of ground to the bars IIRC)

After doing further research, it appears 99% of switch boxes for 350s are disc brakes front switches, and ive yet to find a drum brake switch. I found a replacement switch on CMSNL.com, a 175 specific switch. It's about 100 USD after shipping to the US. I'll provide the link below.

Here's the CMSNL link to the switch

But do you see what I was talking about? The 200 switch has no headlight switch for the reasons I explained. The 175 starter button is wired the same as the 350, no headlight interrupt, and has a ground trigger for the starter button, not a positive one as I believe the CB200 is wired. It would work, but it will require you to rewire the starter button to work with the 200 design and harness connections. Also, the kill switch will have nothing to connect to in the headlight case on a bike that doesn't already have one as the black wire that feeds the coils does not go into the headlight to connect to the other switches' connections like it does on bikes that have kill switches from the factory.

I see what you mean, however I don't have a cb200, I have a cl175. So it wouldn't matter about the cb200 differences. I appreciate you letting me know the differences. I bit the bullet and spent the 100 USD on a new switch from CMSNL. I also purchased a new Honda genuine brake switch, as I try to purchase everything OEM. I understand some things are out of production now, and even NOS can be difficult to sorce
