CB500T Header Pipes?

Gents,

Are the CB500T and the CB450 or CB550 header pipes interchangeable? I realize that the 500 has that collector box in between the headers and it may be unique to that model ... can I install alternate header pipes that do not have the collector box? I am not restoring to OEM ... just a custom build, so I don't care about it being original ... Thanks Bill
