I am doing a fuel system cleaning on a bike that has sat for many years with gas in the carbs, tank and petcock. The carbs and tank have cleaned up fine , The petcock is another story . It was totally blocked with rock hard varnish . I used a small drill and finally got the reserve to work . The main brass tube was toast so I pulled it and used the drill and pulled out crud . Never got any satisfaction . I was afraid to drill any more because I wasn't sure where the main tube goes and didn't want to make a bigger mess , my question is where does the main tube end up and is it a straight shot or have a turn . I have been soaking this petcock in carb cleaner and it helps but no joy. I may buy another part but if I can get this main tube cleared I can get a rebuild kit and be done. All replies appreciated.
