Hello! I am currently rebuilding my
1976 Honda XL350 Keihin Carburetor and need help sourcing replacement seals. Specifically I can’t source this pictured seal anywhere… It looks like a one piece brass and rubber bushing around the throttle pin. Seals the pin that rotates to open and close the throttle assembly. How could I replace it, or even remove it? Could I clean it up and place an Oring inside the brass piece instead?IMG_0196.jpeg

Are you familiar with CMS? I can't see the rubber part clearly in your picture, but have a look at this link set, which is found in the carburetor section of the parts lists for the 1976 XL350. You might also look at Partzilla or David Silver Spares. Another source I have used for the XL350 is XLint Performance.

Can you get a curved pick or two underneath the brass bushing to try to lift it out? Heat might help if you're not concerned about damaging the rubber part.

Were you observing an air leak there? Or are you just trying to replace every seal as a matter of course?

A couple of points .

The seals are meant to seal out dust and dirt not form an airtight seal. I don't know that carb per se, yet I have replaced some of those felt seals in my time. They were never made of rubber though. They were always felt and the brass cup can be popped out on the ones I have done. You may need to reshape it if you damage or bend it on removal.
Mike Nixon at "The Motorcycle Project" website has a few different sizes of the felt seals for sale. There were/are others if you do a decent Google search.
