CL450 Keihin Carburetor Cap plastic puck appears tight at first glance, but
is slightly loose when I blow from the inside.
Is this a problem, if so, what is the fix?
Thanks

I'd expect it would allow a vacuum leak and if bad enough it would affect proper slide reaction and movement.

Back in the day, I think Randakk's sold some type of replacement plug to fix this on naked Goldwings.
Did a search but didn't find anything.
Anyone know if such a fix is still available?

I contacted Randakk's and they no longer carry the carburetor buttons.

I am thinking a thin bead of clear epoxy around the edge of the puck and the cap would solve the problem. I had found one leaking by turning the cap upside down and poured a little alcohol on the bottom of the puck and saw it leaking around the other side. I had an extra cap that didn't leak so used it but I would have used epoxy if needed.

The caps are the cleanest repair if you go repair > replacement.

Clear Epoxy also works, true hoodrat repair is just gasket sealant- they’ll all work.

I used clear nail polish to seal the button, it is not visible and it worked well. We'll see how long it holds up.
If it ever fails I would then use clear silicone or superglue.
