But a titled frame is a titled frame. I’ve actually got a complete cooling system, a known tank geometry that fits and was just thinking a bobber would be a fun build…

 
My only question about the design is: why attach a mitre saw to the front wheel??? 🤣
Probably to offset the missing brake caliper and disc (GL500's were dual disc). I'm most curious about the purpose of the Zyn can... fuse holder?
 
That seems like a good guess.

When you follow the link do you also see the SL125 in Leonard, TX? Looks much more fun, although I get your interest in potentially saving that GL500.
Yeah. I’ve run across that one a few times. It’s a no-title, “ran when parked”. The monoshock rear of the GL makes a really good platform for a bobber - either that or the early 80’s VT600 are what I’m half-heartedly looking at.

That SL would be a good start for a street tracker - albeit a bit underpowered.
