I’ve read some information in this thread and have a question or two. My 1968 K1 450 has an advancer stamped 292. My 1968 K1 Parts Catalog specifies 30220-292-670 for the advance unit. Does the 292 on my unit not correspond to the 292 in the parts catalog?

Also, my advancer has squeezable movement in it. The rubber pads are not contacting the shaft at rest. Is this a loose spring issue or is that normal?
