Nice bike, this is the one I bought as I was desperate to find a carrier for my other CB400A that has had a small fortune spent on it (see post elsewhere)

Rare UK bike, not an import, first registered in early 1979, one owner since new before me! only 15700 miles on the clock. I tried the bike on a VMCC rally for almost 100 miles and it ran fine apart from a slight unevenness at low revs. It had been stood for some time before I bought it. Right hand crash bar has some scratches on outside.

Everything works fine as far as I can see. Several receipts for basic maintenance tasks. I replaced oil and filter as a precaution.

Video of it running on https://www.8406.synology.me:4998/CB400A/cb400a.MP4

Its a big video best downloaded unless you have at fast connection.

Pictures below available at full res.

I'm looking for £2500 £2300, bike is at Deal near Dover UK. More questions please ask.

Best to keep posting it in your area and over time you may find a buyer. I have no idea in Britain what they are worth, yet here in Canada they are not a very desirable bike throughout the whole Hondamatic model range. A really nice CB750A Hondamatic came up locally recently for $3200. Canadian or about 2000. pounds in your currency. It sold in a month or so, yet a properly priced regular CB750 SOHC model sells much quicker over here.
About 6 years ago a sold a 1982? CM450A Hondamatic and it was like pulling teeth with a final sale of $2000. Canadian or $1250 pounds.
It all comes down to the market conditions and what someone is willing to pay for any given model.

Here is the CM450A I sold and it was easily equivalent to your offering quality wise.
