Shrimp's '72 CL 350 build

Is it running that way after you put the points cover on? Sometimes the points are shorted out by one of the wire connections at the terminal because they're not oriented properly and they touch the metal points cover once installed.

I called myself checking that but will recheck.

I bought some tank decals for my CB450 from Reproduction Decals (Diablo Cycle). They show the decals on the Reproduction site but then send you to Diablo to make the order but there is no listing for the decals on the Diablo site. What I did was to send them an email asking how I could purchase the decals. You can contact them at this email address: [email protected] .

I had their website bookmarked from about a year ago and see the listing of decals. If you google Reproduction Decals there is no listing. Use this link to find your decals.

Edit: use this site to get their part number for your decals, and then email them with your request and the part number.

No such easy luck! Any opinion on going back through the carbs and putting in the original brass?

Anything is possible with these old machines and as long as they've been around or neglected in general. But when these carburetors are significantly gummed up inside, they sometimes take multiple cleanings to get rid of it all and with the factory brass parts you'd be better off, as long as they haven't been tampered with.

Thanks! Won't hurt....just hate to take it back apart!

I know, but take heart - it could be a SOHC twin with a single air box to fight with! Yours is a lot easier 😁
Great point!

Btw, I did just go out and spray a little starting fluid in the air intake and still no luck on that side.

Looks good. It's a nice photo also, I would guess a real digital camera rather than a cellphone photo based on the narrow depth of field. Highlights the bike well, although I guess the AI tools can mimic that effect nowadays.

I'll mention that I never came up with a solution for the mirrors. I had to replace the right switch and the replacement didn't have the perch built in....had to put an aftermarket in and doesn't match the left side original mount. It's larger diameter

Looks like standard later version mirror shaft diameter, there should be mirrors available to fit it.

I actually forgot about this until I took her around the block for the first time
I don't know what the legalities are in your area, but I prefer a left side mirror only and I've never been challenged about riding with only one mirror. Personal preference though.
