Winter in Georgia. (If you live up north it's ok to turn your eyes away)

Ok... for all the members who have bikes stored away for the winter with batteries removed and gas tanks and carbs drained....I apologize:lol::dizzy::lol:!
Today in middle Georgia the temp was 74 degrees and the CB350 just had to be taken out. Couldn't pass up such a beautiful winter day.

I hear you, we had a 70° day here ourselves. You'll need to make the video public so we can watch it though.
 
It's about minus 30f where I am right now (Calgary).

If you put a ball of ground beef outside, in ten minutes you can throw it through a plate glass window.
 
Yeah it's currently 19F here. I was away in Olympia over the weekend and the batteries in the thermostat ran out and wouldn't kick on the heater in the house. Came home to 45F inside brrrrrr.....

Still nothing like minus 30F though.

Wow, that's cold for the inside of a house. I've been in 62° inside a house before, never any lower than that. Must have taken hours to get up to a decent temp, have to sleep in full winter riding gear.

And up here in the Canadian Rockies it sitting at about -30 c (-20 f or something like that). I can't even persuade the dogs to go outside.
 
It was in the 70’s in Upstate SC yesterday as well. I took 2 different bikes out for rides in the gorgeous weather. It was completely bizarre to comfortably ride around town the day after Christmas in just jeans and a short sleeve T-shirt. Gotta love it!

Got to admit this is even unseasonably warm for us !!! GA and SC often get gray rainy winter days this time of year which are not pleasant for riding.
 
Currently -5F and snowing here in central Minnesota.

You guys are looking at the situation wrong. It's not winter. it's wrenching season. Just four short months to have everything done and ready to ride!
 
I used the 70 degree plus temps that we had this week in Kentucky to get a lot of parts painted. I hadn't planned on getting any more of that done until spring, as I don't have a heated space to paint.
 
We use the Centigrade scale these days, minus 6C (21F) 2the other night, currently plus 2C.(35F) Too cold to do mechanical work for very long, not so bad for gardening or dog walking.
 
I'm living in a 2nd flr. apt. here in Davis,CA. and can only work on my bike out in the parking lot.I don't miss the Winter freezing Blast weather from back in the NE USA where I moved from.I 'feel' for you members up North in the arctic-like cold weather:that's brutal.
Winter is good weather for break-in though and it's a joy to have finally found a wonderful powersports machinist who set my clearances to a tight spec for me between the piston/cylinder.I would like to live on the 1st floor:I'd pull my bike right inside :) and wrench on it in comfort.
I like the 58 degrees and I'm ready to pull the clutch cover off my freshly rebuilt top-end which I've just installed with only 25 break-in miles on it.I need to replace the clutch plates as a PO used the wrong oil in this engine at some point and impregnated these fiber plates with slippery stuff:I purchased the bottom-end off Ebay..The wind is blowing 20+mph & coming from all different directions as it does here in the Sacramento Valley today and tomorrow and I'm sure it would fill my engine with this CA. dust.. I'll wait until Sun? until the wind cuts down to replace the clutch.
