Where does this tiny spring and tiny brass nub go?

These fell off (out of?) my 1982 CB450SC carb during a cleaning. Cannot figure out where they go for the life of me.
Part name for them would be extremely helpful too. Thanks!

Along with the factory manual, which I think you're working on accessing, the parts fiches at places like Partzilla and CMS can be very useful. The schematic is a bit hard to read, but maybe you'll see the parts in the list below.

I'm currently going off an '83-'85 factory manual, which doesn't have the part in its exploded view :')
The owners manual in the library from this forum doesn't have a detailed carb section either.

I figured out a solution according to this FB post.

I'm pretty sure that's in the accelerator pump.

You are missing the tiny ball bearing still. That slug assembly is found in the VB22 float bowl and in the accel pump cover plate. It's a one way check valve.
