Hi It’s been a while but I finished the Suzuki but put in too many hours and got burned out
Came out the way I wanted (Started with Katana frame but added 650 gas tank and 550 T and G parts) 250 front cowl, etc…..
Sold it and bought a new Triumph Speed Twin1200, Modern bike!!

Speed Twin is a really good bike, lots of fun to ride. I had one in 2019 and really enjoyed it. The fatal flaw for me was that thinly padded seat. It became unbearable for me after a couple of hours. Great Sunday morning backroads scratcher.

It's nice, reassuring when I learn of people wanting to return to and downsize from a heavier, faster 4- or 6-cyl bike to a mid-sized, 100-MPH capable one such as a 450 Twin...

I had visions of long travels and more rides especially two up but reality is I put about 800-1,000 miles per season and 98% by myself…(which isn’t a bad thing)
I could have done that with my 450 and ride a one of a kind show bike at the same time

Like I said (and since you said 98% of those miles were solo), maybe you should be looking for another 450 to do an even better project this time.

I think it will happen at some point

The 900 Speed Twin / Bonnevile T100 900cc always got my attention. Too bad owning a Triumph in Brazil is hard. 1200 would just be too much for me I think, I'd rather have a bike a few kgs slimmer.

And man... That GS550 ended up looking absurdly sexy.

There’s a lot to be said for smaller bikes, thanks for the compliment
