CB175 K6 fuel petcock part

Hey all! I'm buying a new petcock (messed up the bowl threads on the old one, amateur mistake), and when I was looking at parts diagrams, I noticed a part I don't have on my bike.



It's part #3 in the diagram. Just want to make sure my bike isn't missing a part. Is this not a real piece? Don't see #3 listed on any of the sites.

No, you are not missing a part. I can only think that it is way of clarifying the parts diagram, showing where the top viton seal ( 11) fits between the tank and the top of the fuel tap.

( I didn't call that seal an O ring, as it's rectangular in cross section )

Do you happen to know of any cheaper 3rd party petcocks for the CB175 K6? I tried one from 4into1 but it doesn't fit.

I'm afraid that David Silvers is the only one I know of. Some of the ones on Ebay only have one fuel outlet, or two outlets, one at a weird angle.

Yeah, the one I got from 4into1 had an outlet going sideways that hit the crossover tube outlet. No good.

Even with good sellers like 4into1, it's always best to check their listing of the original Honda part number when they show it so you can be sure it's the right part.
