I picked up a 65 ca95 that was last registered in 2003, Cleaned the carb, freed up the clutch,, Oil change and a lot of cleaning and lubing. Got it running good, shifting good for about two weeks, Now It revs up fine In nuet, or with clutch pulled in, put spits and sputs when under power. I'm thinking clean the the carb again. looking for anything else that would cause this

Welcome Brandon! The CA95 is right down my alley.
Two causes of spit and sputter come to mind.
1.) You got unlucky and filled the tank with fuel that has water in it. Drain the tank and refill.
2.) The bike is fuel starved from goober in the tank.

The float actuates a tiny inlet valve in the carburetor. One micro bit of dirt or rust makes this tiny inlet valve stick open, partially open, closed or partially closed. The old gas tanks usually have come kind of debris of some sort.

Drain the tank, check screens (if it has one) in the aftermarket tank valve. Drop the carb bowl and while the floats are loose hanging down, use some carb cleaner and through the fuel line connected to the carb, flush with carb cleaner. NOTE!!! Lightly flush! NOT FULL FORCE OF THE AEROSOL CAN!!

Reattach carb bowl, install an inline fuel filter (pancake type) then refill with fresh fuel.

Since you rode the bike for a couple of weeks fine, then out of the blue you have an issue. I say it's a fuel issue.

Thanks for the reply, I cleaned the tank and installed a new petcock with screen. The carb was pretty nasty, So I pulled it off and am letting it soak overnight, Clean it up tomorrow and see what happens,

Certainly look at the carbs, it's unusual that both would do this at the same time. Maybe look into the advancer behind the points plate.

Double check the points have not closed up a bit or got some oil on them. Also don't rule out the condenser or coil. I have been tricked by a carb problem actually being electrical.

IMG_20241005_110011489.jpgaccording to the manual the 95 is the main jet, but the power jet and power air jet are supposed to be 130 I have a 100&140

I moved the additional repair discussion posts from your introduction to this thread, since this thread is for working on your bike.

I have power fuel 140 (on the side under cap screw ) and power air 100 in nozzle to air filter. This is on a late flat side bowl carb, early round bowl ones are different.

I got some Portawall white walls off amazon their $60 to $70 dollars depending on your rim size. you just tuck them in the bead before you air up the tires, It's a cheap alternative to buying acual white wall tires and they look great
