Hi everyone! With my CL175 running reliably and fairly well, I've been riding a few times a week for the past month or so. Confidence high, I've decided to do my first group ride. Is anyone else in the Portland area doing the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride this weekend?

Also, does anyone have any advice about the ride? I'm not exactly a novice, but I am a bit rusty, despite recent practice, and haven't ever been on a big group ride like this one. I found some other posts on here that describe bad and dangerous experiences at group rides. I guess I can always leave the ride if I feel like others are acting like idiots...

I see the ortho surgeon tomorrow about replacement.
A friend had a knee replacement recently, was back on it two days later for physical therapy. Took about 8 weeks before he was allowed to "use it" without restrictions. Said it was the best decision he ever made. Hope it goes well for you too.

Had right knee done a few years ago, tough surgery but worth it. Do the physical therapy!!!!! It will pay dividends later. I will do the left if and when I need to.

This what I want to hear (y)
Yeah, PT is a given and as they say "If it feels good, you're doing it wrong".

Nice ride! I've done the one in Detroit for the last 5-6 years, and it's a fun time. You meet a lot of cool people, see a lot of cool bikes, and it's for a good cause. It's usually a pretty laid-back group, too- not a whole lot of shenanigans because nobody really feels the need to show off.

(I took the '76 Goldwing this year, but will definitely take my 305 Dream once it's done.)573.jpg

I signed up for the Hieldsberg, CA ride but had to bow out due to the CB160 not being ready to head out. Next year for sure.

Instead my son and I saw the peloton out in Annapolis, MD. Solid group, slowly cruising and having a good time.

For anyone who DID attend one of the rides, please post your pics. Love to see them.

I'm not sure if @12ozPBR did the ride this year, hopefully he did and he'll have some pics from upstate South Carolina. Here's his last year's pics
