Hey guys.

My CB250 came with Pod filters on the carbs, but the seller also sent the original airboxes. I want to go back to the originals, but there is a slight issue. They don't have any paper. It's only the wire mesh. One of them even has one of the sides of the wire mesh barely glued.

What type of glue can I use for the wire mesh? Is there some paper filter replacement that I can buy?

How can I proceed with refurbishing them? Should I just quit and buy new ones from Ebay or a parts website? Stick with the pod filters?

Thank you!

Moved to 250/350 Carburetion section.

Some here have used automotive air filters to cut the paper media from them and glue it on the original filter framework.

Others have used Unifilter foam and glued it to the framework.

You need some generic 3/8” (10mm works too) filter foam and some E6000 adhesive (or whatever the equivalent in your area is.

Cut the foam about 5mm wider than the paper and just glue the edges. Wrap in tape while it cures.
