71/72 CL350 seat

Can anyone tell me if a 71 cl350 seat will fit on my 72 cl350, I see the stitching is different but will it bolt on? thanks for any info anyone can share....

The latching mechanism changed between those years — the 1971 K3 does not have a seat lock, while the 1972 K4 does.

I can't say whether or not the latching hardware for the K4 seat can be rigged up on the K3 pan, but maybe someone else can address that point.

Here's a slightly blurry image of a CL350K3 seat pan.
I believe on the K3 pan the mounting studs are spaced wider to accommodate the latch mechanism.
The hinge mount points may be the same as the later bikes.

If you place an order with Gumtwo ask for a stencil to paint the Honda logo on the back. Because Honda legal came down on him a few years ago he can no longer put it on his covers. One would think Honda would have bigger issues to deal with but apparently not.

I used 3/16 material for the plate with threaded holes for the latch piece.
