fork tube diameter

Guys ... I was double checking my fork tubes this morning (assuming that they were 35mm on the CB500T), but came up with 33mm ... am I reading this wrong? I checked the 3 tubes I have and all had the same measurement? Can someone clarify? Thanks Bill
