    Mikuni Carbs

So I ordered a set of VM30 carbs for my 72 cl350(I got the bike second hand, it was a bit chopped up, had after market pipes that apparently don't play well with the og carbs). Anyways, the carbs I ordered came in and they're both left hand carbs..The idle adjustment screw is on the left hand...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! Im finally entering the final stages of the project so I figured it'd be a good idea to show the current progress. I picked up this Cl350 for 250 a few years ago and have been amassing parts over time lol right now I'm doing a top end rebuild...

1970 Honda CL350 Identifying Mystery Bits in Lower Crankcase

Hi everyone, I currently have my right crankcase cover off and discovered these metal and rubber bits at the bottom of the sump near the oil pump filter. There are fine shiny silver metal shavings that I cleaned out. I tried looking at parts diagrams but am having trouble figuring out where...

    1971 Honda CL350 - Engine Rebuild

Intro: I know there are millions of posts about rebuilds here, but I am starting this as a sort of build diary for myself and hopefully one other person sees this and it helps them with one part of theirs. I'll be pouring through other rebuilds here, so hope to give back to someone else in the...

    Boggy Right cylinder

Hey all, My 1972 CL350 was running pretty smooth all last year. This year when I got it out I noticed it was bogging down around 4000-5000 rpm. Cleaned the carbs, replaced the air flitters with new air boxes (not pods) still having the same issue. After that I dove into the timing and...
  9. CL350K2?

I picked this bike up today. I think it’s a K2 based on what I looked at in the identifying your bike thread but I am still new to this. It is missing the original seat, the right side cover, and a few other small things but starts right up. PO said it will stall out at stoplights occasionally...

CL350K4 weak in twist of throttle. Boggs down when racing. Idles fine.

Ok I have worked hard on this one. Lets see if we can figure out the issue.. or if i will have to take the top end apart once more. I’m running stock carbs, have been rebuilt recently, thought i have not done the felt seals on the throttle shafts yet. One of them has a iffy spring for the...
  11. CB350 Ignition coil assembly

For my very first post. 1968 Honda CL350, cb350 What ignition coil assembly and where should I buy, and what should it cost? I popped the question first in case you don't care about the story. Since I rebuild the bike anyway, and I don't have spark. The coil I have now is soaked in water and...
  12. Front Fender Options

Hey everyone! Still going on my '72 CL350 build. Wondering what people are doing for a cafe racer style front fender? I couldn't find any posts about it. Thanks!
  13. Mikuni carbs and a '72 CL350

I bought two new carbs from Cognito Moto that are the 30mm Mikuni's. The "boot" that attaches them to the motor doesn't work and I'm having a hell of a time finding some that do. Anyone dealt with this before? The Cognito guys sell the carbs but no way to attach them.

Hi everyone. Selling two parts bikes. Classic story....bought these together as rollers with big resto ideas....I ended up doing a resto on a Yamaha XS instead and realize that I'm never going to do anything with these and would love to see them go to a good home. I broke them down, labeled...

  16. Rate my plugs - CL350

Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to another edition of rate my plugs. Remember, all plugs are rated on a 1-10 scale with 1 being extremely lean and 10 being extremely rich. Here's our first two contestants, left and right. And, as always, bonus points for analysis of carb balancing.
  17. Fork Bolt on CL350k4 stripped

Hey guys, After putting on new tires yesterday I went to reattach the wheels and I think I over tightened the nuts on the fork leg bottom bolts. Here's the bolt I'm talking about. Does anyone know if this bolt can be replaced? It looks like it's connected to the inside of the fork but I...
