Silencers taped on, no other connection

You previous owners, you make me giggle….. not
Had to remove the silencers, both not attached by metal, only tape… maybe it’s an anti vibration invention….
Looking forward to removing that bit of pipe, it is not budging. I feel heat, hammers, mole grips, time and cursing will be involved.
