A long CB/CL/SL 350 build

Well, finally got the inner tube in w/o pinching it.

Mounted the rear wheel, exhaust and tank w/petcock.

Got fire to the points.

Gonna be fire up time soon. Just gas, and boom.

Still in need of a seat. The side munt type, and doesn't have to be pretty, just a good solid pan, with mounts.

Wiring still looks like a rats nest. That will be tackled soon.

Thanks for all the help from y'alls.

Got it running and riding. Still have loose ends to tie up.

A couple of leaks to investigate. Forks leaking and a leak under the left side alt cover.

But runs and rides good, even w/o a seat. Bike seems very small for a twin cylinder. 350.20260414_155812.jpg20260414_155841.jpg20260414_155910.jpg

Nice progress — I always enjoy the SL350 projects. I'm curious about some of the details.
  • Is that a fabricated stay arm on the rear hub?
  • Which model carbs are those? 3D?
  • Do those headers collect for a 2-to-1 exhaust? I couldn't see the second pipe under the frame in any of the photos.
  • What's the cat's name? Seems like a friendly animal.

No fabrication on the arm (I bought it from Vintage CB750. It's a bit longer for the brake hub.)
Those are CB350 stock carbs (don't know the model)
The header pipes are stock SL350 pipes (They curve out a bit to allow mufflers on either side) Still gotta fab up some connectors,
Cuddles, and she loves to get up on me and lick and kisses. She showed up in my tree in 2018 and been here since. My wifey gets a bit jealous of her.....jk.

Thanks for your response.....

It looks like your frame uses a hinged seat with the lock on the left side. Is that right?

Would it be possible to mount a CB/CL350 seat on that frame? Do you have the seat lock hardware?

Yes.

Not sure, I do have a CB175 seat, but It didn't look right.

And yes, I do have the lock on the frame and the spring lock that mounts on the seat.

Thanks for your response..
