IMG_7801.jpegIMG_7791.jpegFirst of all, I am a newbie to this forum , second I have a bit of a unicorn in my possession. It’s 1974 and your dad trades in a 1968 Suzuki for a brand New CD 175 Canadian import from Hub City Honda for 800 cnd dollars. As a kid a remember this bike. I got to drive it when I was young. I remember my dad hit some gravel and he laid the bike down. It’s 1981 and the bike is put in a corner and never driven again. 2023 comes along, I talk to my dad and say hey can I have your old bike as it’s just sitting in the garage. He asks me why and I say I want to restore it. He says what do you know about bikes. I say not much but I have restored a few 1960s 1970s muscle cars . I know I can take it apart and go from there. I get the bike home and I take it apart, make a list on what I need. I live in a small town in Alberta, who just so happens to have a small motorcycle shop that has all kinds of parts. I go in and start buying items. I strike up a conversation with the owner and I ask him what he knows about these bikes, then I tell him about mine and the vision I have. I ask if he restores bikes, he says yes but only a couple a year. I tell him put my name on the list, 2 1/2 years later I get the call. Here is my journey with my 1973 175 Honda CD. Can someone tell me how many of these were made in my research the number 54 keeps coming upIMG_7794.jpegIMG_7791.jpegIMG_7794.jpeg

Nice, much nicer looking than the UK spec CD175. CB175K6 fuel tank, seat and exhausts, electric start even. Think there was a typo in the spec display board, should be 17PS at 10K rpm.

Random pic of a UK CD175
