I was unable to really find what I thought was an adequate refresh of front forks that didn’t include new tubes. So I took a fork to local vinyl shop, repaired putting and wrapped the area in between upper and lower triples. I think it came out great and was $10. The result is very nice. Do I understand correctly that you
  • cleaned up the tubes
  • filled the pits with body filler
  • sanded smooth
and it came out looking that good?

I guess this is the CB350G based on the disc brake. My favorite tank color for the 350s.

I believe the last step is he wrapped the tubes with a chrome vinyl material between the upper and lower triple braces.

I wrapped the area between the triples with vinyl I picked up from my local sign shop.
Ah! I was not seeing/reading correctly. Thanks!

Thanks, Rob. I'm not sure how I missed that step!

Pretty good job on the fork cleanup, looks great.

I want to put a disk brake on the front of my SL350, so I ordered a wheel from a CB350F, but it's too wide and won't fit into the forks.

Am I missing something here?
