New to this group and motorcycles in general. I got this bike from a coworker who took it completely apart and never made time to put it together. Everything is organized well and all parts are here as far as I know. Since I have never seen this running or even assembled I definitely will have a ton of questions! Either way I am extremely excited to get this running. I am setting a goal of about 6-8 months to get this done.1000006496.jpg

At a glance, it doesn't look too bad. Do you know why it was taken apart?
Yea there was a oil leak by the Kickstarter so the seal and the Kickstarter shaft where replaced. The spark plug thread is also supposably stripped and this causes issues with the compression. I also got told the carbs need work.

Hmm.. Full confessions are rarely forthcoming. Mysteries are fun though, right?

That explains a lot then, tinkering to learn something new.
You got really lucky.
There are a few things not in any manual that the 360 motor needs, information is here somewhere, I'm sure people will point out what to do when you don't know what questions to ask.

Getting ready to tear down my 360, and I got the factory manual. Planning on boring it and using GS850 pistons. Would love if you could share a short list of the most critical things not mentioned in the manual.

(BTW... sent you an email. Don't have permission here yet to send private messages.)

Hi, did you send it over the weekend? I've had a couple of messages from 'unknown' sources asking about carbs.
I'll find link to the most important oil system mod, pretty easy to find when you know what your looking for.

The 350 is dead easy to do as it has separate cover, 360, pull clutch cover, it's inside. This has been posted multiple times but it's good to have it spread around so more people are likely to see it plus it may come up in search results easier.
There have been far fewer 360 cam bearing and rocker pad failures since I first posted it on DTT about 12~14 years ago.
This one has all the pictures needed to explain things better, wasn't so great documenting things years ago when I was busier.

Because every new member receives a PM from me when they join, you can PM me when you need this kind of help and I'm happy to provide it. Once you reach 10 posts you'll be able to PM anyone, but we had to put that in place to control the scammers of the world who would join and go straight to the Parts Wanted ads to screw people out of their money.

Fellow 360 enthusiast here. Looks like a nice project.

Where are the top end components and pistons? Already at a machine shop?
